Those waiting to catch a glimpse of Djinee taking a casual stroll outside will have to wait for months as the Overkilling crooner has revealed to Showtime he is locked up in the studio and
working hard on a new single and album.
He said “After the tours that followed Overkilling which took me around the country, I’m now hard at work on some new collaborations and materials. I’m basically locked up in the studio”
Showtime however gathered that though the ‘Ego’ crooner won’t be visible in the weeks and months to come; his works surely will be heard as he tells this reporter “My new single is set to drop soon”
The ebony skinned bundle of talent also revealed that his upcoming album will be a potpourri of sorts.
“I have a couple of collaborations on this album. I can tell you I have recorded with MI and I will be doing another with Keffe.”
Showtime pressed for the title of the new single and album but hit brick wall. Djinee insisted he wanted the details kept under wraps for the moment and tried to compensate by announcing he had plans to embark on an European tour at the tail end of the year.
Last year, Djinee’s Overkilling had fetched him the Best Special Effects award at the Sound City Music Video Awards.
