The Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, candidate for the Patani constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly poll, Mr Samuel Assor, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member-elect for the constituency, Mr Basil Ganagana on his victory at the just concluded poll.

Assor who conceded defeat to his rival in an interview with Vanguard in Yenagoa, said election should not be seen as a do or die affair.

He described the election of the PDP candidate for a record fourth term as a true reflection of the confidence the people of the constituency had in him for the period he had represented them.

While urging Ganagana to see his victory at the poll as an opportunity to chart a glorious future for the people of the constituency who ensured his re-election, Assor called on him “to eschew all vengeful passion and desist from joining issues on divisive sentiments among our people.”
