Create employment opportunities, NANS tell Jonathan

BENIN CITY-THE National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan, not to fail Nigerians by creating employment opportunities for the youths by ensuring steady power supply for Nigerians.

President of the NANS, Comrade Jude Imagwu, who spoke to Newsmen in Benin City, also condemned what he described as the “unfortunate utterances” of the National Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change  (CPC), Prince Tony Momoh and the Legal Adviser of the party, Abubakar Malami, over the killing of  Corpers and other Nigerians in the North and called for their arrest.

Imagwu, who urged President Jonathan not to disappoint the people of the South South by ensuring that   he  accomplished all his promises to Nigerians,  also admonished the President to make job creation a priority while he also focus on power, security and education.

According to him, “ Mr President must consolidate on three things; if he consolidate well on power, consolidate on security, consolidate on education, every other thing will take their natural course. You see when there is power, there is employment, when there is security, companies can employ more people, when there is sound and qualitative education, if you graduate, you will be able to fit in to the system.

“So education need focus ranging from funding, infrastructural development and several other amenities that should go with it. He should remember that the people of the South South and Nigerians are expecting a lot from him. So he should ensure that he was not deceived by sycophants so as to make a name for himself” he stated.
