Anglican Communion charge Nigerians on peace

BY FESTUS AHON

UGHELLI-WARRI Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, has urged Nigerians to tread the path of law and order in the spirit of the peaceful coexistence of all parts of the country.

The Diocese in a communiqué at the end of its 10th synod, condemned the wanton destruction of lives and property in the crisis that trailed the results of the April 9,  presidential election in some Northern states.

The church expressed worry at the protracted and reoccurring incidents of insecurity and violent deaths of their young graduates, who went for youth corps service in some  Northern states and called for “a review of the NYSC programme  to save our promising  youths from untimely deaths in their attempt to answer a national call to service.”
