By CLIFFORD NDUJIHE, Dep. Political Editor

FOR postponing the National Assembly elections to tomorrow, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, may incur an additional N4 billion to conduct the exercise and the political parties about N6.5bn.

About 400,000 polling officers were recruited to conduct the polls in 119,973 polling units across the country.

Each of the officers, an INEC official told Sunday Vanguard was to get N7,000. In essence, N2.8bn will be spent on the electoral officers while an additional N1.2bn would be for other logistics, it was gathered.
