No big deal collaborating with big names – Dinero

BY CHARLES MGBOLU
Frank Dinero is the latest music producer to turn full force in character roles, going from music production to becoming a recorded artiste.

Recently, he was cornered by Showtime at a show in Lagos where he revealed he would not be killing himself trying to feature big named artiste on his album.

His words were very plain “I’m not really interested in doing anything with any big names because at the end of the day they may do it or may not do it. I’m not really interested in doing anything with them except for Tu face and we are going to be doing a remix of one my songs.”

When Showtime asked how he’d deal with the bad blood likely to erupt from this, he quickly did a rethink, saying  “I am not saying that I’m not going to do collabos with other musicians but there are some people whose albums delay because they want to do it with this or that person.

I’ve seen a lot of people go down the drain that way and I don’t want to be one of such persons. Let me do my thing and they will come after me.”

Frank had produced several hit making names in the industry with Duncan Mighty and Wacomzy being prominent amongst the lot. He also claimed to have contributed partly to the success story of  Timaya.

“I ‘ve just rounded up my second album, called Sophisticated and it should be out on the street as soon I finish negotiation with the marketer. We should be sealing everything soon.
