The trio of Yeka Onka, Naomi Mac Ebiama and Emmanuel Patrick, winner, first and second- runners
up respectively at the recently concluded Nigerian Idol, have concluded plans to release a joint musical album into the Nigerian market.
They disclosed this last week when they paid a courtesy visit to the corporate Head Office of Seven Up Bottling company Plc, one of the associate sponsors of the reality TV show.
Though, they did not give details of the title and when the album would be released, they none-the-less promised that it would be a great hit that would really define a new direction for music in the country.
The trio could not hide their excitement and appreciation to the soft drink giant for being part of the sponsors of the show saying that this move has really helped in making their dreams come true.
In the words of Yeka: “Pepsi has been a real source of inspiration to me. As one of the sponsors, they have made my dream come true. Being a winner of the Nigerian Idol is the biggest thing that has really happened to me”.
She urged the Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc not to relent in sponsoring youth-specific programmes saying, “I advice that you continue to give many talented youth in the country a future because when you invest in the youth, you invest in the future”.
The Nigerian Idol winners were received by top Management Staff of the company led by Mr. Femi Mokikan, the Executive Director, Human Resources; Mr. Mazen Al-Masari, Marketing Manager, PepsiCo International, Mr. Mani Siddhartha, Business Development System Manager, SBC Plc and Mr. Ali Jagri, the Financial Controller amongst others
