The Director General(DG) National Gallery of Art (NGA), Dr Abdullahi Muku has assured the staff of relevant and regular professional training.
This he said on the occasion of a Strategic Service Delivery Management and Power of Value workshop which is aimed at developing high standard of productivity among senior staff of the gallery.
He further emphasised the importance of training and reasoned that it is through constant training that expected professional changes can take place in the over all performance of the agency.
“with training, staff will be able to apply necessary skills that will help them in the application of necessary Civil Service rules and procedures in the effective performance of their duties.” He said.
Abdullahi also encouraged all the staff to work with unity of purpose and do away with idle talks and gossips and to make themselves useful tools for the upliftment of the gallery.
The DG who said that the management has mapped out three training programmes with two of such to take place in Abuja and the third one in Lagos, said that such training programmes couldn’t take place in the past because of paucity of funds.
