Birnin-Kebbi-Governor Saidu Dakingari and PDP governorship candidate in Kebbi state has been re-elected for another four-year term having beaten candidates of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, and that of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

Chief returning officer of the gubernatorial election, Professor Sani Dangoggo, declared that Governor Dakingari polled a total of 559,424 votes.
