The Awuse Estate residence of the presidential running mate of the CPC, Pastor Tunde Bakare, at Opebi, Ikeja went up in flames on Friday.

No one was hurt in the incident but the fire caused extensive damage, according to Pastor Bakare.

He told Saturday Vanguard on phone that his family were inside the duplex when the fire broke out apparently from a burnt fuse, at about 1.30 p.m.

Firemen brought the situation under control one hour later.
