Peter Utaka has said his two goals against Ethiopia in a Nations Cup qualifier boosted his confidence to score for his Danish club at the weekend. Utaka hit a brace as the Eagles soared 4-0 over Ethiopia in a crucial Nations Cup qualifying match in Abuja and on Saturday he grabbed his 10th goal for Odense against Aalborg.
“It’s given me a big boost (scoring for Nigeria). It’s made a difference, even in training here,” said an excited Utaka.
“Obviously, I’m high on confidence, scoring on my return to Denmark, long may it continue.”
The striker picked up a pass from the left in the 13th minute, beat an Aalborg defender before he drilled a crisp, left-footed strike to send the travelling Odense fans into raptures.

Utaka failed to hit target in the friendly against Kenya on Tuesday but he disclosed that coach Samson Siasia has assured him there were a lot of positives from his performance.
