Daniel, PPN betray Jonathan-Fadairo

*Allegation unfounded, unreasonable – PPN

BY KOLADE LAREWAJU

ABEOKUTA – THE  Chairman of the Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo Campaign Organisation in Ogun State; Elder Joju Fadairo yesterday accused Governor Olugbenga Daniel and the Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN, of treachery by betraying President Jonathan during Saturday’s Presidential Election.

Elder Fadairo who spoke to newsmen said despite assurances by Daniel and PPN that they would vote for Jonathan, the party can prove that PPN did not only work against the President, but voted against him in the election.

He said “a PPN member confided in me that Governor Daniel told them (PPN members) that they should either stay at home on the election day or alternatively vote for the ACN. It is therefore fraudulent for any PPN member to say that they voted for Jonathan.”

But the PPN Publicity Secretary; Mr. Raheem Ajayi dismissed the allegation describing it as “unfounded, unreasonable and a statement that could only come from a failed politician”. He insisted that without the PPN support, Jonathan could not have won the election.

He stressed that PDP cannot win any election on its own and cited the National Assembly election in which all prominent PDP candidates; Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello and Speaker Dimeji Bankole lost “woefully.”
