I will not interfere in Amosun’s Government

ABEOKUTA -GOVERNOR Olugbenga Daniel of Ogun State, the PDP candidate; Chief Adetunji Olurin and the candidate of PPN; Gboyega Nasir Isiaka have congratulated the Governor-elect, Senator Ibikunle Amosun of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on his victory in the epic gubernatorial contest in Ogun State.
Daniel in his message said that Senator Amosun’s victory actualizes the yearning of the people of Ogun State for change of political platform in the governance of the state.?Otun
“While wishing all the victors well and successful tenure, I pray that the Almighty God will grant all those who have won the mandate of our people the right spirit and ability to consolidate on the achievements of the last eight years and take Ogun State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria to greater heights.?
To those who did not excel in the elections, I say tomorrow is another day”
Chief Olurin in his own message, thanked the people for the peaceful conduct of the polls and INEC.
He said “the task of moving Ogun State forward is the responsibility of all the indigenes and non-indegenes in the state. That was why my campaign organization went with the slogan ‘Ajose ni ise Ogun’. What this means in essence is that we should all join hands together to move Ogun State forward regardless of our political, ethnic religious or other affiliation”
In his own message, the PPN candidate Mr. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka said “I sincerely congratulate my brother and governor-elect for his victory.
The challenge to move Ogun State forward brought all of us into this battle, a winner must emerge and he has won.
For me, politics is just a vehicle to serve the people and make society better, it is not a do or die affair. The wish of the people must be respected and they have spoken with their votes. I wish Senator Amosun well in the tasking job of making Ogun State greater than he met it”.
I will not interfere in Amosun’s Government
LEADER of the Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] and former Governor of Ogun State; Chief Olusegun Osoba has said that he has no intention to interfere in the running of the state when Senator Ibikunle Amosun eventually take over the reign of power.
Speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta after the INEC Office which he visited after the declaration of Amosun as Governor-Elect said that he was confident that Amosun would run a government that the people would love
He said “politically, God has vindicated Olusegun Osoba. I cannot ask for anything more from God. I can assure you that the governor will have the freedom to perform his functions within the party’s context. There will be no dictation from anybody. I have no intention of interfering or sitting on the neck of Amosun.
“He will run his government in the way he deems fit and best for the people of Ogun State”.
Chief Osoba who said that he has been vindicated by Amosun’s victory “ we want to thank God; to God be the glory for what He has done in the lives of the progressives, not only in Ogun State. We thank the good people of Ogun State for staying so faithful even at the point of being provocated by some of the elements and the opposition. Our people performed wonderfully well and I want to thank them for their patience and loyalty, and for showing love for ACN and for our candidate, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, now the governor-elect.
“I want to wish the opposition well and I hope they will take the change of power in good faith. I experienced it eight years ago after my mandate was manipulated and stolen. I took it in good faith. I accepted the verdict of the people of Ogun State which I had reservation about. Nevertheless, I accepted the situation. I expect nothing less from the opposition parties and I expect them to congratulate the new governor.
“The people of Ogun should now be looking up to good governance; a government that is responsive to the wishes and yearning of the people; not a government that will be dictating and be arrogant to the ordinary folks whose mandate it is carrying”.
