Management of Ilorin based Nigerian premier league side, Bukola Babes Football Club, has paid additional 20% sign_on fees to its players and coaches.
This was disclosed to Inside Out Premier League by team manager, Alloy Chukwuemeka who said that the club is determined to fulfill all its contractual agreements it entered with players and officials as a professional set-up.
The former media captain of Yobe Desert Stars said the club has so far paid 50% of its players and official’s sign_on fees, having paid 30% at the commencement of the season. He continued by saying that the welfare of its players and coaches remain paramount in the management’s agenda.
He however stated that the team would be moving to Bauchi next week ahead of the resumption of the concluding part of the league as he stressed that the victory of Dr. Bukola Saraki in last weekend’s National Assembly election would serve as the needed tonic to propel the team into a victorious second round of the premier league.
In the mean time, the club also confirmed Festus Allen, who has been in acting capacity after few games of the start of the season, as Technical Adviser.
Chukwuemeka said that, “it (confirmation) became necessary after a review of the performance of Allen in the first round of the premier league which the management sees as satisfactory. The process leading to the upward review of his remunerations to suit this present status is on_going and would be made open to the press as soon as it is completed.”
“We are a responsible and responsive management, we will continue to take positive steps aimed at repositioning the club to compete favourably in the top flight league,” Alloy added.
