Armed men snatch ballot boxes, papers at Oleh

There was no voting at three polling units in Oleh town, Isoko South local government area, as ballot boxes and papers were snatched by armed men.

It was the same situation as Unit 002 at Emede, but at Effurun in Uvwie local government area of the state, voting was going on as at 3.00 pm at the various polling units in Effurun with policemen maintaining visible presence.

Some influential politicians were said to have forced people to vote for their preferred candidates in their units to ensure that they were counted among those that delivered in their areas.

According to a source, a politician who is contesting on the platform of one of the political parties paid some thugs to ensure that all those who voted in his unit and ward, voted for his party or else, the ballot paper would be taken from the voter by force and a second print put on it to invalidate the ballot paper.
