Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN chieftain, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP led Federal Government has given N3 billion to the leadership of Labour Party with the aim of destroying the chances of ACN in the April polls across the states, particularly in Lagos.

This came even as Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State urged residents of Alimoso to vote en masse for ACN in the April elections in order to continue to enjoy various developmental projects already going on in the state and urged them to discountenance any overture by PDP because they have nothing to offer the people other than perpetrating and celebrating fraud.

The duo spoke at a rally in Alimosho Local Government Area.

Tinubu said:  “We thank you, (the people of Alimosho) for standing by ACN in 2007, we promised to deliver and BRF has delivered or has he not delivered.? Today, Lagos has transformed and it’s working.

“This is their (PDP) 12th year in office without anything to show for it other than stealing your money and celebrating corruption. PDP is deceit, avoid them like plague. Recently, we learnt that Jonathan gave Labour Party the sum of N3 billion since they are not presenting any presidential candidate.

“The money is for Labour to mobilise people to cause violence against ACN candidates during the forthcoming April elections in Port Hacourt, Ondo and Lagos. So beware, if anybody says he is ACN and promoting Labour candidates call them thieves.”

Tinubu also urged the people to reject the so called endorsement of Fashola by Labour chairmen describing it as “poisonous endorsement.” If they want to associate with us why they didn’t join us, disregard them they are PDP machineries.”

He reminded them that there are 750,000 registered voters in Alimosho, the largest in the state and urged to them to at least score over 500,000 for ACN BRF and his team in Lagos.

Fashola, addressing the crowd at the well attended political rally, corroborated Tinubu’s claim saying; “They plan to destroy my life and your lives. PDP is a virus and only our votes can cure it. We must resist any attempts by the party to cause trouble in Lagos.

We must resist their attempts to rig elections in Lagos. There is a lot to do and this is the time to issue red card to the PDP. We must move from house to house to tell neighbours to be well-prepared.

“We must avoid and resist it through our vote. I therefore urged you all and the entire people of Lagos State to give red card to the ruling party”.

“We are already gathering information about their plan. They are planning to foment trouble in Lagos State. You must be prepared for them. They are planning to rig. So, you must be prepared not only to vote, but to move from house to house, tell every man and woman in your vicinity to resist this evil called the PDP in our lives.”

Fashola lambasted PDP administration for devulation of the nation’s currency recalling that in 1999 the value of Naira to A Dollar was N87 and 2011, it ios N156 to a Dollar. PDP is reversing our economy.”
