South Africa will now host the 17th African Youth Championship, from 17th April – 2nd May, according to the Confederation of African Football.

The tournament, originally scheduled for 18th March – 1st April, suffered postponement following outbreak of civil unrest in Libya, the country that was to host the two-week, eight-nation competition.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will play in Group B against reigning world champions Ghana, Cameroon and The Gambia, while host South Africa square up against Egypt, Lesotho and Mali.

The Flying Eagles are presently putting finishing touches to their preparations in Port Harcourt.
