Super Eagles’ Chief Coach, Samson Siasia yesterday ruled out the inclusion of old players in the team for the forthcoming 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia, as he released a list of 24 players for the preparation of the encounter scheduled for March 27 at the Abuja National Stadium.

While fielding questions on the domination of the list with strikers, the 43-year old said, “I have lots of strikers on the list because they are doing well in their respective clubs.
“These players you find on the list have been impressing in their respective clubs, and I find them valuable in my assignment. Its good to have many of them. Those who excel during training would play against Ethiopia.
Also, we have a long way to go and we are working towards the future”, Samson Siasia said.
In his reaction to the absence of the likes of Sani Kaita and some of the players that featured in last year’s South Africa 2010 Fifa World Cup finals, Siasia retorted thus; “We don’t have a team. We are building and not the time for the like of Kaita.
“Before you know it someone would ask why is Yakubu Aiyegbeni not on the list? This is not the time to experiment or gamble, we’re trying to encourage some of these young ones to come up”, he said.
