ACTION Congress of Nigeria,ACN, governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, has promised to embark on land reforms in the state so as to return all lands allegedly taken from the people by the present administration, when elected governor.
A statement by the Director, Directorate of Communications and Publicity Abiye Campaign Organisation, Mr. Jerry Needam, enjoined indigines of the state to ensure that Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, was voted out of the state, saying that the party had brought so much pains to Rivers people.
According to him, “I am calling on all Rivers people to join the wind of change and embrace ACN. Rivers is an ACN state and we are promising that we will end strikes in the state. We will give teachers, lecturers, students, doctors and civil servant a better deal.
“We will ensure land reforms, where all lands taken by the present administration from Ikwere people and others in the name of greater Port Harcourt will be returned to the owners,” he added.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of ACN, Mallam Nuhu Ribudu and executive members of the party are expected in Port Harcourt tomorrow as part of the party’s presidential campaign rally in River State.
