What’s your eating habit like?

I don’t eat breakfast and lunch. I eat only dinner. I cultivate this lifestyle while I was anxious and determined to eat healthy. I don’t cherish eating every time especially at my age. And I believe anyone who wants long life must follow the path.

So, eating healthy prolongs life?

Of course, especially eating good food and not eating every time.Some people want to eat any food at their disposal.

What food do you eat for dinner?

I can eat any food provided it’s good food. I could eat amala, pounded yam, eba, plantain, potatoes but plenty of vegetable and little meat. As a medical expert I believe vegetable is a good source of vitamins and minerals. Vegetable helps the immune system and makes the body function properly.

Are you saying meat is good for your age?

That is why I said, little meat. I eat plenty of fish.

And your drink?

I drink plenty of water. It’s good for aging.

Do your exercise?

Of course. I’m 76 years of age.

What is your choice of exercise?

I do exercise that promotes my health.


Nutritional Values of Vegetables

Fresh vegetables can help to get rid of numerous diseases such as heart disease and stroke, blood pressure, cancer, painful intestinal ailment called diverticulitis, cataract and macular degeneration and vision loss. Apart from these, vegetables have a low fat and calories content, thereby minimizing the problem of excessive weight or obesity.

Vegetables have a rich content of nutrition, right from protein, vitamins, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium to selenium, iron, manganese, copper and zinc. A high vegetable diet definitely assures a relief from all the major and minor problems of the body. According to experts, people consuming greater amounts of vegetables in their diet are high on energy and feel less lethargic or stressed out. The nutrition provided, helps body perform all the activities, by providing the body cells and organisms, all the necessary requisites for supporting life.
