LAGOS-LEADERSHIP crisis has hit Ladipo Auto Market, Lagos, following the impeachment of the Daniel Nwafor-led executives.
Speaking with Vanguard, weekend, Acting President, Mr. Ultimate Durueze and Ray Ukpabia said: “In response to the lingering crisis and disunity among the 10 elected officers of the executive, we the constituted unit heads, secretaries and warehouse managers, have impeached the executive led by Daniel Nwafor. They should cease henceforth to perform any official functions.
“In their place a five-man interim executive, headed by Mr. Durueze, as the Acting President-General, was appointed to oversee the activities of the market pending when a election will be conducted to elect new officials.”
In a swift reaction, Nwafor declared his purported impeachment as null and void, saying he remained the President of the market.
He said: “The impeachment did not follow due process. They cannot take power by force. My tenure will expire in December. This case is already in court; the whole issue will be decided in court.”
