ILORIN –  Preparatory to April polls, Kwara State police command has declared 148 persons wanted for suspected involvement in political thuggery across the state and issued warrant of arrest against them.

But, the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, has accused  the leadership of State police command of bias in its treatment of political violence.

From the list compiled by the police, which was made available to Vanguard by the command,  the southern senatorial district has a total of 84 persons on the wanted list. It is  followed by Ilorin with 36; Oro 15; Omu-Aran five and Lade in Lafiagi local government area five.

The  command’s spokesman, Mr. Dabo Ezekiel said the command had issued arrest warrant for each of the suspects and asked them to surrender themselves to the law before it was too late.

In Offa, Ezekiel gave the location of the suspects as follows: Arogun eight; Elephant Junction 20; Idi Isogba Junction 15; Gada 11; Lion Junction 13; Mosalasi Junction 13; Sule Junction 7.
