18 years old Sandra Otokine has emerged Miss ProjectOld Skool 2011. The event which is aimed at getting creative minds in music, fashion and dancing, held March 6, 2011, at the Chop life Gardens and suites Achakpo area of Ajeromi Ifelodun local government.
It began with a screening process in January and culminated with 17 finalists who took part at the grand finale. The three in one event, tested contestants creative instincts in music, dance and modeling. As the name implies, contestants came on stage adorned in different old skool outfits from dinner gowns, skirts, shorts, stockings, and the afro hair style, all depicting fashion trends back in the days. Contestants were judged on their interpretation of selected music, voice quality and dancing skills, while aspiring models were judged on their dexterity on the runway, poise and carriage. At the end of the competition, the judges made up of Evans Nwachukwu of PEFTI, musical director Lucky Isimah, Mrs Ester Ibanga of NTA, Sandra Otokine was crowned winner. While Mercy Kareem was 2nd and Sophie Anyanso was 3rd. The event organized by Ijay Modeling agency, basically aimed at engaging the youths, as well as exposing their hidden talent.
