ABUJA – The Peoples Senate, a group of young Nigerian professionals, is organising a proxy debate for presidential candidates. Tagged “The Youth Presidential Debate”, and scheduled for March 13 at the Abuja Sheraton Hotels, the debate features a youth representative of each of the presidential candidates.
President of the Peoples Senate, Mr Lai Labode, disclosed this at a briefing weekend. He said, eight political parties were invited for the debate, out of which six had already indicated their interest to have youth representatives at the debate.
The political parties invited to the debate include Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, National Conscience Party, NCP, All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, National Transformation Party, NTP, Social Democratic Mega Party, SDMP and Fresh Democratic Party, FDP.
