WARRI – MINISTER of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, has described as disappointing, what he called the un-accommodating mind-set of some Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leaders in Delta State to his effort to resolve the feud in the party.
Olorogun Gbagi, who, few days after Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan was declared winner of the last January 6, gubernatorial re-run election, vowed to embark on a trouble- shooting mission to reconcile the warring factions, told Vanguard in Warri, weekend, “yes, I have started the peace moves, but to be frank with you, I am not encouraged. I hear of so many options. People have spoken to me too but I found out some people are not making peaceful plans.”
The Minister also debunked the allegation that he worked for another political party in the January election, saying, “I don’t understand what they mean that I did not work for my party, some people just choose to leave the issue and pursue shadow. I did not make any broadcast to anybody not to vote for my party, PDP, so where are the lies from and for what purpose?”
“It is a known fact that PDP won the election. I think what we should do is to build on it. The party has a gubernatorial flag bearer and ahead of the next elections, it is his duty to reach out, not just me, but to other Deltans to work for him,” he added.
