Former Nigerian Football Association, NFA Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima has  stated that Kano Pillars will thrive in their CAF Champions League away tie against Wydad Casablanca in Morocco.

Galadima, a former 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), held that following the team’s togetherness, they will fly high against their north African opponent this weekend with the help of God.

“I am hopeful the team will do well in Morocco. They have been together for awhile now as team so they can give a good account of themselves in far away Casablanca. The team will be leaving today (Wednesday, March 17) for Morocco so they can acclimatizes ahead of the game and put their plans right. I believe Kano Pillars will do well in the continent by God grace.

On the unimpressive form of the team since the appointment of former U’20 and Niger Tornadoes coach, Ladan Bosso, the former head of Kano State Sports Council said that “I do not know much about coaching or technical matters, but what I know is that they will give us something to cheer about in Morocco.”

It would be recalled that Kano Pillars lost to Heartland FC in the Semifinals two years ago after defeating Al Ahly of Egypt in the last stage of the knock-out phase.
