FG signs N3.3bn ontract to construct Qua Falls dam

ABUJA -The Federal Government has signed N3.3 billion contract agreement with Messrs Infiouest International Limited for the construction of the Qua Falls Dam and Irrigation Project in Cross River State.

Chief Obadiah Ando, Minister of Water Resources,  made this known at the signing ceremony with Messrs Infiouest International Limited over the weekend

Ando, who signed on behalf of the Federal Government, said the construction of the dam was in line with Mr. President’s directive and the Ministry’s mandate to provide water for the multipurpose of drinking, hydropower and irrigation.

He mandated the contractor to commence work immediately on the dam site and warned that the quality standard of the dam must not be compromised.

Director, Irrigation and Drainage Department, Engineer Joe Kwanashie, said the construction of the Qua Falls Dam was timely, adding that  the country would benefit greatly when completed.

Managing Director of Infiouest International Limited, Mr. Joseph Jaoudi, expressed appreciation to the federal government for awarding the contract to the company, and promised to deliver quality service.
