Speaking at the commissioning of the 8-storey complex, President Goodluck Jonathan, represented by his Vice, Arch Namadi Sambo, said “we will surprise the world next month as we are poised to conducting a free and fair poll that would satisfy the democratic tenets that preaches one man, one vote.”
He also formally named the complex after the first Foreign Affairs Minister who later became the first Prime Minister, Late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
The President described the complex built by Bullet Construction Company Ltd as world-class, capable of hosting the diplomatic corps and world leaders.
“We shall see more of this noble progress as we are determined to tackle headlong the issue of power, as we have reviewed the railway after 30 years that it had been in comatose.”
On security, the President assured all Nigerians that all was on course to ensure the security of the nation at all times, saying the Federal Government was fully committed to it in all ramifications.
