BY GBENGA ARIYIBI

ADO-EKITI-THE chances of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the April general elections have been boosted with the defection of members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Labour Party, LP, to the ruling party.

The party made an in-road in the stronghold of the PDP and LP, as the former member of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Nelson Omotayo led many PDP members to join the ACN when the party’s campaign train led by Governor Kayode Fayemi reached Ijesa-Isu in Ikole Local Government Area, weekend.

Omotayo who also served during the regime of Fayose and the immediate past government led by Engr Segun Oni as the Director General of the State Enterprise Development Agency led scores of PDP members to renounced their membership of the umbrella party at a rally in Ijesa-Isu.

About 1,000 LP members in Afao-Ekiti, hometown of former Governor Ayo Fayose also decamped to the ACN at rally held in the community.
