The management of Bukola Babes of Ilorin has placed seven players on the transfer market as it prepares ahead of the second round of the Nigerian Premier League which kicks off in a week’s time according to the NPL board.
This was made know by the team’s media officer, Toyin Saheed who stated that three players will also be brought in to beef up the team.
Saheed said: “The club has decided to place seven players on transfer. They are Chibuna Eze, Balogun Abubakar Yahaya and Arinze Oyota. Others are Monday Samuel, Femi Balogun and Raji Lukman
“The team is now left with 27 players and we intend to buy three more players to beef up the team even as the management has given the team a one week break,” he stressed.
In the mean time, Technical Adviser of the team, Festus Allen said that he his not afraid of any team in the Premier League so long as there is fair officiating.
“I am not afraid to play any team any where, all I need is a good referee. If I get good officiating then Nigerians will know the stuff my team is made off.
I have strong confidence in my boys. I have been able to impart into them the spirit of good football.
I love to play good football and get results, this is the hallmark of my play. I have spent quality time studying Dutch football and Arsene Wenger. I love Wenger’s philosophy of the game but not comfortable with his team not using the dexterity of long range shots. This is why I love the Dutch league as I try to bring it to bear on my team.
My dream is to win the league and CAF Champions league for Bukola Babes. If I can achieve this feat, I will be accomplished as a coach,” Allen stated.
