Akure – THE camp of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ondo State was depleted weekend as the immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties under Dr Olusegun Agagu’s administration in the State, Chief Boye Adegbemisoye defected with his supporters to the ruling Labour Party (LP) in the state.
Adegbemisoye, a former Chairman of the Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo Local Government Council would be the fourth cabinet ranking officials of the Olusegun Agagu’s administration to dump their former boss since he lost his efforts to remain in office following his controversial election two years ago.
Chief Adegbemisoye, said to be a member of the ‘kitchen cabinet’ of Dr Agagu’s government told the mammoth crowd that gathered at Ile-oluji that the Labour Party administration of Dr Olusegun Mimiko has impacted positively on the lives of the people to his surprise.
This was contained in a statement by the governor Chief Press Secretary Kolawole Olabisi made available to newsmen in Akure.
Olabisi said the former Commissioner lauded the Mimiko-led government for constructing 8-kilometers of road in Ile-oluji in the last two years more than the Agagu administration under which he served for about 6 years, adding that his town Ile-oluji has received the attention of Mimiko’s administration in the construction of its caring heart mega primary schools across the state.
Adegbemisoye noted the present government has acceded to the age-long desire of the community for a sports stadium, which he said would boost sports development in the local government and it’s environ.
