Global warming which relates to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface that has been observed in recent years is projected to continue as being debated by experts whether this is a natural occurrence or whether human activity has impacted or accelerated
it.
The art exhibition showcased by fifteen private schools in Lagos recently which was organised by Kiddies’ Kingdom Private School Mafoluku however evidence that overwhelming human activity since the industrial revolution is responsible for an increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere (especially a sustained increase that causes climatic changes).
The pupils proved it through their art works that the theory that the world’s average temperature is increasing due to the burning of fossil fuels and other forms of energy resulting in higher atmospheric concentrations of gases such as carbon dioxide
According to the head teacher, Mrs Iwuchukwu , F.E, the school decided to embark on the programme to sensitised children and youths of global happenings so that precaution could be taken by all and sundry against human causative agents of global warming. The contributors to global warming according to the pupils include, burning bush, trees, toxic waste, putting our electric bulbs on while away and etc. To reduced global warming, the pupils in their statements urged teachers to educate students on its danger, users of home appliances should put off electrical appliances and bulb when not in use
