Uduaghan’s Campaign DG’s daughter kidnapped

Gunmen yesterday kidnapped a 9-yr-old daughter of the Director-General of the Uduaghan 2011 Campaign Organisation, Professor G.G. Darah. She was being driven to her school at Ovian in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State when the gunmen struck.

Her driver was shot by the kidnappers before she was taken away. Time was about 7.30 am.

The driver is said to be in a critical condition and receiving treatment in the hospital. Prof G.G Darah, who spoke to our correspondent on telephone, confirmed the incident, but said no contact has been established with the abductors.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, Mr Charles Muka also confirmed the incident, saying the police were on the trail of the suspected kidnappers.
