Kwara dedicates victory to Ikhana – Anifowoshe

By Ime Bassey

Kwara United FC Striker, Ganiyu Anifowoshe has stated that the team’s victory against Shark FC of Port Harcourt is dedicated to Kadiri Ikhana’s quick recovering from his re-occurring pain.

Anifowoshe, a former Sunshine Stars FC player said the red card he bagged against his former club troubled him but he was able to come out from it.

“We motivated ourselves by deciding to win the match for our Technical Adviser who is sick, believing that when he hears the result, he will be happy with himself and possibly recover fast. This made us to put our best into the game knowing well that he had been a huge assistance to us as players.

“For the red card given to me against Sunshine Stars FC at Ijebu-Ode actually disturbed the team in general, the players, coaches and the management because when they needed my services more, I was not available. I had to get myself up from the psyche that came with it and move on.

I will be sincere to you that it actually affected me but I had to tell myself that, this is not the first time of receiving red card in a football match. Also, I told my self that red card should not make me to commit suicide,” he concluded.
