Insurance PHB promotes staff restrategises

As a strategy to inspire staff to increase performance and commitment in their job, the Board and Management of Insurance PHB Limited have approved the promotion of some key management officers besides other category which falls under the junior cadre  that were also promoted.

The promotions which took effect from February 1, 2011 saw the Easter Regional Head, a seasoned Marketer, Chief, Charles Agu move from the Controller position to an Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Mrs. Ukachi Orji, the Divisional Head, Technical promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) The prudent gate-keeper was a controller before her elevation.

Other Management Staff who benefited from the Board’s approved list for promotion is the Head of Corporate Communications and Protocol, Mr. Louis Ibe. The information management strategist and image maker of Insurance PHB Limited until his recent promotion to a Controller was a Senior Manager in the Company.

Mr. Olusola Omoni, the Head of Northern Region, was promoted to the position of a Controller. Other key officers who also became Controllers include the Company Secretary / Head of Legal Adviser Mrs. Cordelia Denen, Head of Brokers Unit. Mr. Kayode Adebanjo, Head of Internal Control, Mr. Timothy Adediji, a Chartered accountant as well as Vivian Elueme, a former Senior Manager in Insurance PHB Regional office in Port-Harcourt.

The Head of Western Region, Insurance PHB Limited, Mr. Olufemi Oyesola has also been promoted to the position of a Senior Manager while Mr. Ayokunle Orimolade, Head of Insurance PHB Limited’s Bancessurance, was also elevated to the position of Senior Manager and Mr. Michael Osazua Head Oil and Gas Unit of the company also  became a full Manager.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Insurance PHB Limited Mr. Anselem  Igbo who had earlier announced the promotion and commendation  of other  54 staff in the junior category said that these came after the  conclusion of the staff evaluation exercise for the period July 2009 to June 2010 and in accordance with our culture of rewarding commendable performance .

Insurance PHB Limited which recently declared a profit of N 375 million in the year ended December, 2009 has acquired the best insurance Information Technology software in the Asian Market named Agillis, took the initiative aimed at increasing its market share predicated upon the recently confirmed compulsory insurances by the National Insurance Commission .

“The acquisition of the new Software Agillis is tailored around enhanced turn-around time, errorless documentation, increase in the technical competence of the entire workforce, real time-online insurance underwriting as well as E-Third Party Motor Insurance Underwriting from any part of the Country” Mr. Anselem Igbo submitted.

The promotions which came with all their necessary benefits according to information are a way of demonstrating the Board’s good will in the appreciation of the hard working members of staff who are strategically persuaded to remain focused, with ownership ideal and increased high sense of commitment and aggressiveness in marketing.
