Host communities urged to protect PHCN facilities

CHIEF Executive Officer, Ughelli Power Station, Mr. Akintunde Adeniyi, has charged host communities to protect equipment and facilities of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, in their areas.

Adeniyi who spoke, weekend, during a  get together with three host communities and PHCN landowners association, said PHCN was committed to the welfare of its host communities.

He urged the people to pay their electricity bills promptly, adding that  they were concerned with the poor supply of electricity in the country.

He, however, expressed hope that a lot would be achieved in the area of power supply before the end of the year.

According to him, equipment for the upgrade of facilities had arrived the country. He appealed to electricity consumers to be patient with PHCN. Speaking further, he thanked the host communities of Ekrerhavwen, Eruemukohwarien and Ekakprame for their continued support to the power station.
