Don’t expect miracle from me – Siasia

By Phillip Adefioye
With just two training sessions in one day before his first match, Samson Siasia said yesterday that Nigerians should not expect miracles from him.

In the morning, Siasia had eyes on the defenders and concentrated on them. Attention shifted to the strikers in the evening. A training session Monday evening had been put off because players were not available. Only eight players were in camp. Said Siasia:

“We are in the process of building a new team. We have new players who have only trained with the old ones once. The understanding may not be there in the match against Sierra Leone. But with time we will gradually build a solid team. For now, nobody should expect miracles from me.

I have said it before that it will take time to build a team. With more friendly matches and competitive games we will achieve our objective.”

Siasia confirmed that Obinna Nsofor and Obiorah Nwankwo who plays for Inter Milan of Italy may not play because of injuries.
