Managing Director/CEO of Continental Transfert Technique Limited (CONTEC), Dr. Benoy Berry, has emerged winner of the maiden Outstanding Achievement in Technology Award of the Nigeria Association of Science Journalists.
The Nigeria Association of Science Journalists, an affiliate of the World Federation of Science Journalist based in Canada, in a letter to Dr. Berry, noted that the award was in recognition of his immense contributions to the advancement of biometrics and e_Governance in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
The award would be conferred on Dr. Berry at the 2011 International Science Communicators Conference (ISSC) of the Association scheduled for March 10, in Abuja.
*Mr Benoy Berry (an Irish citizen of Indian descent) is also the chairman of ContecGlobal UK. He holds a B.A.1st Class Hons. in Economics; M.A. in Finance with Roll of Honours Merit List degrees from Delhi University, New Delhi; Delhi School of Economics and London School of Economics. He is an Honorary consul of Burundi to India. He has worked with Morgan Stanley and Phillips Morris International as Management Trainee and Marketing Manager, Nigeria ( where he helped launch the TARGET brand Cigarette. Major career achievement and satisfaction have been derived from position with responsibility for the identification and resolution of problems. Skilled in decision making, including organization and analysis of data, evaluation of alternative solutions, selection of optical approach, and negotiation for the implementation of decision.
He co_ordinates and communicates effectively at all levels, and has a wide experience in applying principles of good management in motivating maximum performance and efficiency among personnel. The ContecGlobal group was established in 1984 by Dr. Benoy Berry, an Irish citizen of Indian descent, supported by an experienced cohesive and proven senior management team.
