Ex-International Okey Isima has showered encomium on two times CAF champions Enyimba FC of Aba and Kano Pillars for their performance in the 2011 CAF Champions League last weekend.

“They are all doing great. It shows that the league is improving. And the fact that every player is thriving hard toward the national assignment is a good thing.
“Concerning the selection of the national team coach Samson Siasia, every player needs to showcase his talent if he wants to be in the team.
Any selection from the national team coach should not be based on sentiments . If a player is good I believe Siasia will not hesitate to choose such player. For a player to be chosen. he needs to prove himself in various games before he could be chosen and I believe that should be the criteria.
“During our days for a player to be properly recognized by a coach, he must be in involved in many matches before he will be selected. It’s not about playing one game or being in a competition. I believe choosing of players should be on based on merit and not on sentiment ,” Isima concluded.
