Family bonding power of “Meal Times’ was what Knorr, a brand of Unilever Nigeria Plc preached to consumers during the reward session of the on-going ‘Cook and Win’ promo.
Unilever said that family bonding, before the ‘Meal Times’campaign began, was a thing of the past, but today, families are beginning to understand the powers of ‘Meal Times’ bonding.
The company further said that the need for Meal Times bonding was what it is trying to bring back to the family circle, since these days, the company said, parents no longer have the time for their children in order to pass on the family tradition of telling them moonlight stories, as well know their challenges.
Aside the bonding, Unilever says this year, it will in Lagos for the second time continue the family picnic programme that is expected to bring families together, to bond and exchange experiences.
That, notwithstanding, the company in effect rewarded winners in the ‘Cook & Win’ promo where Mr. Joseph Ndubueze and Florence Adanikan both emerged winners of a Honda City carsaccording to Dominic Kimani, Marketing Director of Unilever who spoke on the family bonding project said that the Knorr Power of Meal Times programme is to promote family bonding where parents listen to the challenges of the children.
Speaking on the company’s brands, Kimani said, “each of our brands stand for different things to consumers, at Knorr, it is all about enhancing the meal time, making it an enjoyable moment, making the food taste, so that the consumer’s family will be able to be looking forward to be coming, by this way, they are able to develop, bond and understand the challenges of the children and the parents advising them.” “There are benefits around that and we build that around that.
On whether the project has achieved its aim so far, the Marketing Director said, “ from the report received, it is encouraging. The response we got is that this touches on the mind of consumers. We would not say that we have achieved all , this is the second season. The family picnic will hold in Lagos this year,” he asured.
