The Chairman, LASACO Assurance Plc, Mr Edward Akin Leigh has confirmed that the adoption of Transformation and Growth Strategy (Project TAGS) has helped transform the operations of the company positively.
Leigh noted that the project has significantly impacted the company’s performance as well as chart the compay’s growth and profitability prospects.
He said the project paved way for the establishment of the company’s plans and programmes department, re-engineering of customers service and relationship management improvement.
According to him, “our comparative strong performance and the positive results achieved in 2009 and 2010 owe much to our strong vision and strategy, disciplined underwriting, specialised skills and expertise and increasing financial strength.
“The results of our TAGS Project and its change management process has fostered vast changes and improvement in our organisational structure, culture, business systems and process since 2007 to date”.
Leigh said that business transactions (bottom-line) and value added contributors underscore the significant progress LASACO has maed to date and the solid foundation we have laid to ensure that the company continues to operate at record performance and profit levels well into the future.
According to him”, the company is the lead insurer of key business in the country, noting that it leads in underwriting of risks of companies like Chevron oil and gas assets management/Olero Creek restoration project and onshore assets gas management, Total E and P USAN project”.
Others are Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited – Agbanmi Operational Project, Esso Exploration – Erha Operation and Production Nigeria Limited, Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria, Eleme Petrochemical Nigeria Limited, ABO – Project – Extension project, National Space Research Development Agency, China National Offshore OEE and TPL Oil project, SNEPCO BONGA Field North West and Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.
He said the company would continue to adhere to regulations and uphold ethical standards.
