FG reconstitutes RBDA management team

Federal Government of Nigerian has reconstituted the management team of River Basin Development Authorities (RBDAs) just as President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointments of 12 new managing directors for the authorities.

Disclosing this to Saturday Vanguard in Abuja yesterday, Mr Obadiah Ando, Minister of Water Resources said that RBDAs adopted a rotational mechanism to ensure that every state is given the privilege to prove their mentor in the authorities.

The names of the approved MDs are Engr Greg Ugwueze for Anambra-Imo; Mr A. A. Osula for Benin-Owena; Barr Essien Essien Etukudo for Cross River; Prof Paul Marley for Upper Niger; Engr Samuel Abdullahi for Hadeji-Jama’are and Engr Adurugba Abubakar for Lower Niger.
Others include: Mr N.M. Aleru for Niger Delta; Engr Halid Yusuf for Sokoto Rima; Engr Suleiman Naibi Musa for Upper Benue; Engr (Mrs) Roseline Ada Chenge for Lower Benue; Dr Abubakar G. Aliya for Chad and Engr Jimmy Imoliki for Ogun-Osun.

According to the Minister, “ This is to announce that the president and  Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H. E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR, has approved the reconstitution of the management team of 12 River Basin Development Authorities (RBDAs) of the Federal Repubic of Nigeria.

“ Based on the principle of seniority of career professionals and national spread, the following persons have accordingly been appointed with effect from 4th January 2011.”
