Ex-militants beg Uduaghan for forgiveness

By Emma Arubi
FOLLOWING voting along ethnic lines in the just concluded Delta State re-run gubernatorial election won by Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, former militants from the Delta Central Senatorial district, have charged the Governor to forget and forgive and take the three senatorial districts in the state as his constituency.

Spokesman of the former warlords, Gen. Austin Ogedegbe of the Piro-pere camp, now a member of the Board of Delta State Waterways Security Committee made the appeal in chat with Vanguard, weekend.

Accompanied by the Chairman, Kingsley Muturu, Collins Arigo, and Abraham Wvanghe, Gen Ogedegbe congratulated Uduaghan for a well deserved victory but charged him to see the whole state as his constituency, which  should be carried along equally irrespective of the alleged voting pattern that would appear to have portrayed some people as enemies.

They urged him to pursue his three point agenda with more vigor, promising to mobilize to ensure his return for a second term that would take the state to a greater height. They further commended INEC for a job well done this time around saying that this election was a great departure from the fraudulent nature of previous elections in the country.
