THREE persons were killed in a ghastly motor accident, Thursday, afternoon at Ubulu-Okiti town on Benin-Asaba Highway.
A team of journalists monitoring the re-run gubernatorial election in Delta State, Thursday, arrived the scene shortly the accident.
The accident involved a Peugeot 406 car with registration number DELTA AM 988 AGB, which was heading towards Agbor.
According to an eye witness, “the Peugeot car had attempted to avoid a farmer pushing a wheelbarrow across the highway in a dangerous manner, but unfortunately the driver lost control, veered off the road and rammed under a stationary trailer.”
The driver of the Peugeot car was said to have died instantly along with another passenger sitting at the front while a Reverend Father and a woman sitting at the back seat were badly wounded.
Also reported dead was a man standing beside the stationery trailer.
Meanwhile, the wounded Reverend Father and the woman, whose identities were not immediately ascertained have been rushed to Mother and Child Hospital, Ubulu Okiti
