Arewa Christians endorse Ribadu

By EMEKA Mamah
Arewa Christian Initiative, ACI, has endorsed the presidential aspiration of a former Chairman the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Malam Nuhu Ahmed Ribadu.

The group in a press statement in Kaduna Monday, described Ribadu as the only presidential aspirant who has the needed courage, vigour and integrity to move the nation forward.

The statement by the group’s Chairman, Rev. Caleb Musa Ambi, and Secretary, Jonathan Dauda, said, “we have critically studied the political terrain, particularly with more emphasis on the presidential aspirants jostling for the highest office of the land as all the parties round up its presidential primaries.

“Nuhu Ribadu’s aspiration to lead Nigeria is the only quest we can say is predicated on genuine commitment that reflects the wishes of majority of well meaning Nigerians both in the country and in the diaspora.

“Ribadu’s genuine wide followership has foundation in his track records of redeeming the country’s image before the comity of nations on negative hype related to widespread corruption, and maladministration hitherto associated with Nigeria.

“Our argument is also hinged on the fact that if we are going by the so_called agitation for zoning and northern Presidency, then Nuhu Ribadu has all it takes, having a genuine acceptability and followership in both north and south of the country commanding reputation.

“Nuhu Ribadu will serve as a rallying point for the unification of Nigeria as against the division that has been created by the other aspirants.

As the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN prepares ahead to challenge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the presidential race, we draw its attention to the fact that with Nuhu Ribadu as its flag bearer, the ACN stands the chance of clinching Nigeria’s presidency based on the qualities and reputation of Nuhu Ribadu

“Just as Mr. Femi Fani_Kayode stated, with Ribadu as ACN’s candidate, even members of the PDP and other parties will vote for the ACN. This indeed is the true reflection of the situation, and we hope the party will without any reservations make Nuhu Ribadu its choice knowing that anything short of this is a bad omen for the ACN.”
