All is set for the Guild of Editors, NGE, biennial convention scheduled for January 15, 2011, in Lagos.
In a statement yesterday in Abuja by the Guild’ s General Secretary, John Ndukauba, about 300 editors from all over the country would be expected to participate.
A 16-member standing committee will be elected to run the affairs of the NGE for the next two years, while eight editors will be inducted as members of the Guild during the convention.
In addition, the editors will adopt the amended constitution of the NGE.
The statement explained that only editors who have paid their annual dues of N10,000 will be permitted to participate in the convention.
Former Information Minister, Prince Tony Momoh, will chair the convention, while Lagos State governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), will address the editors.
