We will avoid the drop Uche Kalu

Things may not be rosy now at  Spanish club Almeria, but the Nigeria world cup star Kalu Uche is positive that at the end of the season, the club and the fans will have the last laugh.

By their own standards, Almeria have started the season on a sour note and are second from bottom with only one win in fourteen matches!

Uche impressed in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Real Zaragoza. This made the fans very happy and they remain confident that salvation is possible.

It was Uche’s two goals that gave Almeria their first victory and he has played out of position on more than one occasion this season, in the right wing to satisfy the coach.

The ex Enyimba striker, who is now in his fifth season with Almeria believes things are delicate but the club can remedy the situation.

”We are working well, we are at a difficult time in which the team is down, but we must work harder to remove it from where it is located.  I’m not scoring goals now, but the first thing I do is try and help the team and then we talk about my individual work. If someone makes a goal, we do it all. For my part, I try to help the team, ” Uche explained..

Last weekend, Almeria drew 1-1 with Zaragoza but could have snatched all three points but the Swedish striker Henok Goitom missed a glorious opportunity to hand Almeria all three points.

”We must continue working like the other day (against Zaragoza). That can happen to any player.  You have to keep working and keep improving. We all fail. Goitom is a good striker, but had no luck on that occasion.

”We’re not nervous, we’re fine. The truth is that things are not going well, but the team is well mentally and with the intention to leave the relegation zone. I am sure we will be saved. At the moment, we are going through a difficult time, but eventually everyone is going to laugh.”

Uche, who was the subject of so much transfer speculations in the summer, has scored three goals in nine matches this term. Almeria face a tricky away trip to Sevilla on Saturday.

Eneramo may end up in Egypt

Michael Eneramo’s desire to leave Tunisian champions, Esperance is never a hidden fact but his final destination is something that is still under projections. Lately, he expressed an unyielding desire for a move to the big leagues in Europe.

Like Carlos Tevez who has threatened to walk out of Eastlands if his request for transfer was not heeded, Eneramo to had more than once threatened to quit the Tunisian giants more than once.

It is no longer news that Esperance have sacked their head coach, Faouzi Benzarti after failing to win the CAF Champions League.

The 60-year-old gaffer did not have to wait for long before he found a new team to take his services to. Last weekend, Benzarti signed a fabulous contract with Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry and reports say he will earn a jackpot of one million dollars.

Al Masry have made their desire to see the Esperance attacker Michael Eneramo joining their ranks.
