WARRI — FORMER Deputy Governor of Delta State, Prof. Amos Utuama, SAN, has described Justice Thompson Dugbo (rtd) as a living legend, calling on the younger generation to emulate the life of service of Justice Dugbo in order to move society forward.
Prof. Utuama spoke during the 80th Birthday anniversary ceremony of Justice Dugbo, at Owhrode Secondary School playground, Owhrode, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
The former Deputy Governor described Justice Dugbo, a former High Court Judge, as a role model in selfless service, hard work and commitment to the ideals of a progressive society.
Also speaking at the event, President General of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, General Patrick Aziza (rtd), described Justice Dugbo as a patriotic Urhobo citizen, who would go the extra mile to defend the unity and progressive ideals of the Urhobo nation.
Others who spoke at the event were Dr. Oviemo Ovadje, Chief G. Sefia, who all eulogised the exemplary life style of Justice Dugbo.
The event also saw to the presentation and launch of two books by the octogenarian celebrant, on Maritime Law and Administrative Development of Udu Kingdom. The books were reviewed by Sir Ben Bivbere, Mr Esombi, and Chief Albert Akpomudje, SAN.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Austin Ogbaburhon, Chief Andrew Orugbo, Hon. Henry Sakpra, Chairman, Udu Local Government Council, members of the Old boys Association of Urhobo College, Effurun, representatives of all Udu Communities, High Court Judges among others.
