Oceanic Bank attracts customers with e-services

Following feedback garnered from customers, Oceanic Bank’s redesigned internet banking application is providing exceptional security and hitch-free services to its teeming customers across the nation.

The platform has been commended by customers and industry watchers as a “huge contribution to online economic activities given the high level of security it provides to all classes of users.”

Re launched earlier in the year, the new internet banking service has since been widely acclaimed as “twice as safe” especially in terms of its security features. Oceanic’s internet banking platform is the first internet banking service in the country to make use of grid-based two-factor authentication.

“Simply put, a customer would need to make use of grid-card device in addition to the password, before he/she can log-in to the service, thereby providing additional security. This ‘two-factor’ method makes it extremely difficult for a customer’s account to be compromised,” says John Aboh, Managing Director, Oceanic Bank International Plc.

Also known as Oceanic Online, the Bank’s internet banking platform offers customers twenty-four hour access to their account irrespective of their location, security of funds with the unique Grid card token- a two-factor security implementation, and enhanced personal financial planning. In June 2010, Oceanic Bank also pioneered another first in the industry, in the area of Card security.
