AS Deltans prepare for the January 6, 2011, governorship re-run elections ordered by the Court of Appeal, Benin, Chief Elemi Rewane, has called on Deltans to vote for the gubernatorial candidate of the Republican Party of Nigeria, RPN, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, who is in alliance with the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Delta State, saying that he appeared to be more trusted amongst all the contestants.
Chief Rewane also warned that she would be the first to line Omo-Agege up for prosecution, if he failed to keep to his election promises just as she insisted that the nine Niger Delta States and peoples be treated equally with fairness and justice.
She added that a situation where one group was treated as the beautiful bride while the others were treated with disdain was unacceptable.
The octogenarian made these remarks at an enlightenment campaign organised by the coalition parties of RPN/ACN to sensitise their members on the coming gubernatorial re-run election for Delta State in Warri.
She called for unity among the people for greater democracy dividends at the home front.
